California Impact Experience
Use the English you learn in class to help real people.
You take part in local events and help at community support groups. You also share your work on social media. This gives you a chance to meet local people and see real American life in a way that a normal study trip cannot.

Urban Angels
Urban Angels is a nonprofit group that cooks and gives food to people without homes in San Diego. They run the kitchen at Connections Housing, a modern center that helps people find homes. You can help with cooking, serving food, and cleaning.

San Diego Rescue Mission
The San Diego Rescue Mission has many locations in the city. They help people who face homelessness, abuse, poverty, and addiction. They offer emergency help, places to live, children's services, food, and community support. During your visit, you tour the center and help serve dinner to the people who live there.

USS Midway Museum
The USS Midway Museum is a historic Navy ship in downtown San Diego. Veterans guide you as you help clean the museum before it opens, and staff give you a tour at the same time.

Students who want to travel abroad. Beginners are welcome too — you do not need advanced English to take part.
